About Us
 |
In 1982, Jerry Redetzke started JR. Manufacturing out of a 10' x 20' workspace. For the first six months, sales reached a humble 30 oil pans. In the fall of 1982, he started attending some small trade shows and the Circle Track trade show in 1983. Within the next 12 months, Jerry built and sold over 300 oil pans.
Over time, Champ Pans by JR. Manufacturing built a network of dealers, while adding new pan designs and dry sump systems to their inventory. With aspirations of expanding the business, Jerry increased his marketing by adding advertisements in national magazines, such as Stock Car Racing, to his current program with the area trade papers.
Addition of aluminum and steel valve covers, aluminum and steel oil pans, and a full line of pulleys further expanded the inventory of the growing company. Today, JR. Manufacturing is housed in a 12,000 square foot building with a 3,000 square foot mezzanine for product storage. We employ 12 full-time employees and keep more than 1,000 pans in stock. We have also started a company called Champ Brackets, which specializes in parts and brackets for race cars. |
